Snake River Elementary is part of a long tradition of quality schools providing an education to children living in north Nampa. Our school opened in 1996 to replace the nearly century-old Lakeview Elementary School.

Our school was built on the former site of the Snake River Stampede rodeo and we took our name and mascot from that event. The construction of our school was part of an overall effort to revitalize our neighborhood. The success of the effort is clear when you visit our school and see first hand the resources now available to the children we serve including the city’s Hispanic Cultural Center and the Nampa Boys and Girls Club.

At Snake River, we are dedicated to providing a strong academic foundation and safe learning environment to our diverse community of learners.

Snake River is a welcoming, caring place where students in grades K-5 master the essential skills in preparation for a lifetime of learning. Our students also learn the building blocks of science, social studies, citizenship, and health complimented by art, music, and physical education in a comprehensive curriculum.
