2010-2011 Orientation/Enrollment
OUR STORY Skyview High School opened in 1996 as the second high school in our growing community. Our campus is located on Greenhurst Road between Sunnyridge Road and South Powerline Road.
Our instructional program focused on the needs of students.
Upper classmen select from a rich array of choices to help them realize their dreams for “Grade 13” or life beyond high school. Those choices include career-oriented academies, rigorous college-level courses, professional technical programs, general studies, and more. To learn more about our high school program click here.
Our high school offers competitive sports and fine arts programs.
Skyview is home to the district’s health occupations academy as well as the building construction program. Our students also can choose the specialty programs available at our other two high schools and we regularly transport students to those sites so they can pursue these excellence programs.
CAPS FOR KALIE
Kalie Quistie is a student here at Skyview, she will be traveling to Portland for Brain Surgery. Her teacher, Jessica Lopez, with help from the sports marketing program, will be sponsoring Caps for Kalie.
Starting this Friday and every Friday through the month of September students may pay $1.00 to wear any hat of their choice for the day to raise money to help support Kalie and her family with the travel and medical expenses.
Sports Marketing Program: Richie Golden, Kasen Ball, Kyle Dranginis, Jeremy Vanderpool, Mike Iordanescu, Austin Rehfeld, Zach Salois, Hunter Hyde, Emilee Moore, Sitlaly Escamilla, MaKenzie Blaylock, Matt Wymore, Taylor Rhodes, Sarai Madrigal, Kelsy Peterson and MJ Salois. Present a $695 Donation to Mission Aviation.
Mission Aviation received a donation of $695 from the Skyview High Sports Marketing program and MJ Salois, a student at Lake Ridge Elementary. The proceeds will go toward transporting 20 relief workers or injured Haitians aboard an MAF flight. They also will deliver four plane loads of medical supplies, pay for one day of specialized training for an MAF pilot and provide one computer loaded with a complete library of Bible study materials. MJ Salois is originally from Haiti and he came to the Sports Marketing Program and asked if they would be willing to help him with a fund raiser to help support the Haiti earthquake victims. The goal of the fund raiser was to fill three 5 gallon buckets with change. The buckets were set out at Skyview events, boys’ and girls’ basketball games, wrestling events, and at lunch. The efforts filled two and half buckets and with the help of Capital Educators Federal Credit Union the program is able to contribute to the relief efforts.
