Crimbchin, Anne

My name is Anne Crimbchin and I teach Anatomy and Physiology.  I am our science department head and have been teaching at Skyview High School for 11 years.  Over the years I have taught everything from physical science, biology, health, CP Biology and credit recovery science.  I was also the cross-country assistant coach for 6 years, but had to give that up to get home after my daughter was born.  I love teaching and learning about the human body, and think Skyview offers a lot of great opportunities for the students that attend here!

Weatherby, Gayle

I obtained my bachelors of science in nursing from Boise State University.  My nursing career has provided exciting pathways of “traditional and non -traditional” nursing.  My first job as a graduate nurse was at the San Francisco Children’s Hospital.   I returned to Boise and worked at St. Luke’s Regional   Medical Center in the following clinical areas: medical –surgical; ICU/CCU; oncology; assistant head nurse emergency department and obtained my certification as a certified emergency nurse.

Leaving the clinical arena: I travelled numerous western states, employed by Proctor & Gamble (P&G) promoting the importance of skin care and using products manufactured by the” IVORY soap Company”.  Continuing to work in non-clinical settings, I worked for five years as a Medical Case Manager in the health insurance and workers’ compensation industry.

I returned to the clinical environment at a small rural hospital as the quality assurance coordinator.  My nursing journey took me back to St. Luke’s Hospital for five amazing years as a hospice nurse.   In December of 2004 I realized the emotional impact of hospice nursing and the toll upon me that holiday season.   I sought and found a new nursing specialty, school nursing with the Nampa School District.  I transitioned to the professional technical education department as the certified nursing assistant instructor.

Nursing careers have endless potential for diversification.   I continue to proudly and eagerly participate in yet another nursing arena; a nursing assistant “educator” for our young people in the Nampa School District.

Social Dance I, Social Dance II, and Social Dance III

English & Education BA from Albertson College of Idaho (now The College of Idaho) Certified in English, ESL, Drama, Humanities, and PE.

This is my 9th year of teaching—6th in the Nampa School District. I have taught a variety of classes including English, Spanish, and Drama before getting into Social Dance.  I am trained in the Fred Astaire and DVIDA dance pedagogies. I have 12 years of ballroom experience preceded by 10 years of ballet experience. I am active with the USA Dance association in Boise and have close contacts with area studios.   I coach the ELEMENT Ballroom Performing Team—which includes members from all three high schools.  The team is housed at CHS, so see the CHS clubs tab for more information on this group.

My Social Dance classes learn American Style Ballroom and a high level of participation is expected. Each semester we hold a tri-school event (Winter Ball or Spring Soiree) where students can practice what they have learned in class. Students are encouraged to attend as this is a crucial part of their grade.  These events showcase student ability to interact in a positive manner with students from other schools as well as provide the opportunity to practice their ballroom steps in a social setting.

**I teach at Nampa, Columbia, and Skyview—please EMAIL if you are trying to get in contact with me!

The 2009-2010 school year is my third year teaching at Skyview High School.  I'm originally from Springfield , Oregon and graduated from the University of Oregon.  After completing school, I decided that I needed a change of scenery.  So, I gladly accepted when given the opportunity to live and work here in the Treasure Valley.  In July, I returned home and got married on the University of Oregon's campus.  My wife, Leslie, teaches English over at Nampa High School.  We have two dogs; Ellie May, a Black Lab/Border Collie Mix, and Tucker, a Golden Retriever/Bloodhoud Mix.
