Our Story

Our school opened in 1995 as one of three schools built to replace aging schools within our district.

Our district is committed to building neighborhood schools where children can walk or ride bikes to school. During our history, we have seen the open fields surrounding our school transform in to residential neighborhoods.

Iowa is a welcoming, caring place where students in grades K-5 master the essential skills in preparation for a lifetime of learning. Our students also learn the building blocks of science, social studies, citizenship, and health complimented by art, music, and physical education in a comprehensive curriculum.

We serve a diverse student population by focusing on the needs of individual students and by working closely as teams to identify areas to improve.
