In a city full of new elementary schools, Central Elementary School stands out. Originally built in 1929 as a junior high school, our school has served Nampa children as a junior high, an all-sixth-grade school, and an elementary school for nearly 80 years.

Don’t let our age fool you. In the late 1990s, we closed for a year while crews remodeled our school from top to bottom. Our facilities are on par with the newer schools in the district and we are smaller than most schools serving about 360 students in kindergarten through fifth grades.

Today, Central’s classic architecture and mature trees compliment the nearby historic residential district and our neighboring business community.

Central is a welcoming, caring place where students in grades K-5 master the essential skills in preparation for a lifetime of learning. Our students also learn the building blocks of science, social studies, citizenship, and health complimented by art, music, and physical education in a comprehensive curriculum.
