ATTENTION STUDENTS: As outlined in your student handbooks on pages 16 and 17… the new attendance policy may impact those students with 6 or more absences that have been documented as unverified, truant, or illnesses without medical documentation.   Each class that falls into this category will be under review by an Attendance Committee which may result in loss of credit, reduction in grade, or other consequences defined in your handbook.  Beginning Monday, Dec 15th, a list showing student ID numbers only, will be posted near the cafeteria that includes all those students and which classes that are in jeopardy.  If you are on this list, you may pick up an appeals packet from Mr. Riley that must be returned to him on January 6^th.  A letter of notification will also be mailed home explaining in detail the appeals process.     

Following the review of the appeals packets, the final notification will be shown on your report card with an “NC” on your semester report card.   Students and parents will have the opportunity to appear before the Attendance Committee if you wish to refute this decision.  Plese contact us if you have any questions.
