More than
half our students live in poverty. Nearly 30 percent of our students are Hispanic;
of those more than 1,500 are classified as Limited English Proficient meaning
they are not fluent in reading or speaking English.

of our diversity and desire for all students to succeed, we pay close attention
to academic achievement of specific groups of students. We have been encouraged
by the progress different groups have made during the past four years and our
goal is to see that progress continue as schools adjust to a new state test.
